We are excited to have you join the UCI Health family of co-workers. Expansion of UCI Health through the addition of Fountain Valley, Lakewood, Los Alamitos, and Placentia-Linda hospitals brings tremendous growth and supports our strategic priorities to improve health, increase sustainability, and transform healthcare.
In addition to expanding our physical presence in Orange County and into South Los Angeles County, we add necessary capacity that will meet the needs caused by increasing demand for UCI Health services and allow us to bring our advancements in health and research to more people closer to home. This helps us become the most accessible and friendliest academic health system in the country.
Growth of this magnitude is not possible without exceptional caregivers and operational support teams. Each of you plays a vital role in bringing world class healthcare to our patients. We are proud to call you co-workers, and we look forward to building our future together.
UCI Health is comprised of a devoted team of nationally regarded physicians and nurses, researchers and clinicians, educators and students united by a single calling — to improve the lives of the people in our community and beyond.
As the only academic health system in Orange County, our multifaceted organization of over 7,000 co-workers is dedicated to the discovery of new medical frontiers, to the teaching of future healers, and to the delivery of the finest evidence-based care. The UCI Health system currently includes Douglas Hospital, located in Orange, CA, a comprehensive medical center complex adjacent to Douglas Hospital, and 30 ambulatory care clinics throughout Orange County.
KEEP SCROLLING FOR A ROADMAP ON NEXT STEPS FOR NEW CO-WORKERS TO COMPLETE NOW
Please use the step-by-step roadmap below to complete tasks related to your transition into the UCI Heath family of co-workers:
In 2024-25, UCI Health will expand through two key initiatives. In early 2024, UCI Health entered into a definitive agreement to acquire four Southern California hospitals from Tenet Healthcare.
On February 15, 2024, UCI Health and Lifepoint Rehabilitation broke ground on a 68,000 square foot new stand-alone, 52 bed, inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Irvine, CA.
Also in 2024-25, UCI Health will open a $1.3 billion medical campus in Irvine, featuring the nation’s first all-electric hospital, emergency department, cancer center, acute care center and more. Hundreds of new co-workers will be needed for this world class medical complex.
