UCI Health is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health resources for our entire healthcare workforce including faculty, staff, and residents. The UCI Health REACH program is designed to provide an overview of all available programs and resources to support your mental health needs.

There are three main referral methods:
- Faculty and Staff Support Services
- Life Resources Program
- Interactive Screening Program (for Health Sciences faculty/residents)

Comprehensive menu of personal development and work/life workshops available through ComPsych at no cost - Faculty and Staff Support Services
Able to develop and facilitate workshops/trainings on a variety of mental health and wellbeing topics - Mental Health First Aid Certification
A full day (5.5 hour) certification course to develop the skills to recognize and support colleagues, family, and friends in distress - QPR/Suicide Prevention
A brief 90 minute training to learn to recognize signs of crisis in order to help reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative, practical, and proven suicide prevention training - Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI) Request for Services
Wide range of integrative health services available by request - Many other services are also available by request via HR Wellness
Faculty and Staff Support Services and GME use the Interactive Screening Program (ISP) in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The program is currently distributed between two different populations:
- Residents/Fellows
- Health Sciences Faculty
Following submission of the online questionnaire, a licensed counselor receives and reviews the submitter’s responses to screen for any additional follow-up needed. Follow-up includes 1:1 consultation with the licensed counselor and/or referrals to on-going treatment or wellbeing resources.
