The UCI Staff Housing Assistance program is a confidential program designed to
administer a fixed-amount fund that has been designated to aid UCI staff who are at risk of
housing loss. The program is intended as short-term, emergency-based support. For additional

To provide emergency acute/urgent incident-based temporary supplemental housing support. Examples of financial hardship causes include:
Job reduction or loss of secondary income (self)
Job reduction or loss of secondary income (partner, or household support)
Transition to housing (from homeless situation)
General inflation/cost of living increases
AID PROVIDES SUPPORT TOWARDS PAYMENT OF:
First and last months’ rent to secure rental
Not to be used towards a down payment of housing purchase
Availability of funding is limited and not guaranteed
Eligibility does not guarantee funding
Application form and criteria are subject to change at any time without notice
Financial support received through this program will be treated as taxable income
