Talent Development - Leadership Development Opportunities

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE LEADERS

People leaders have a unique and important role at UCI and UCI Health. As a manager or supervisor of staff co-workers, you are tasked with ensuring that your people have what they need to do their best work, have opportunities to learn and grow in a positive and safe environment, inspire excellence, and drive engagement. Many of you are working managers and supervisors, meaning that in addition to leading people, you have your own deliverables, and spend time in the role of individual contributor as well as manager.

To assist you in ensuring that you have what you need to be your best as a people leader, UCI offers numerous training and resource opportunities designed specifically for your unique role.

AVAILABLE TRAINING

The following HR-issued training courses for managers/supervisors is based on UCI Human Resources procedures, Systemwide Personnel Policies for Staff members (PPSM), and bargaining agreements where appropriate. Some courses, or course offerings, may be specific to the business unit in which you supervise. For example, “Managing Staff Leaves for Supervisors” is offered as a course for those in the campus and College of Health Sciences business units, while a separate course is offered for those in the UCI Health business unit.
