Share your thanks and appreciation for your fellow staff members – including peers and leaders – in Bright People, Brilliant Solutions. Include photos and share your post with who you are honoring to make your recognition even more meaningful. Start your posting at noon on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023.

Virtual Scavenger Hunt Launches (7 Day Event)
Form teams of 2 to 10 staff members and compete for prizes by finding all 10 scavenger hunt items by Sunday, October 15 at 5:00 p.m. Here’s how it works. All team members must be staff. Team members do not have to be from the same department, but an individual staff member can only compete on one team for this challenge. Teams will submit pictures of the items found with at least one team member in each photo.
Form your team and get ready to play! The rules and Scavenger Hunt checklist will be available at noon on Monday Oct. 9, 2023.
Excellence in Leadership Award Nominations Launches

Employee engagement is a top UCI and UC priority. Leaders inspire employees to focus their individual talents on the goals of the organization and to contribute at the highest level. Effective leaders are also guardians of the culture and exemplars in living the organization’s values. As a result, great leaders are often met with the prize of engaged employees who feel prepared and empowered to progress in their careers.
The Staff Assembly Excellence in Leadership Awards recognizes UCI leaders who inspire employees to focus their individual talents on the goals of the organization and contribute to the highest level. Award winners are selected based on clear demonstration of the following four leadership competencies:
In addition, there is an overall award for excellence across all four competencies.
