JOIN THE PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST

Show off your creativity and pumpkin carving skills at the 7th annual pumpkin carving contest.

HERE ARE THE RULES:

1. Contest is open to individuals and teams of up to five (5) co-workers. Register HERE
2. One free, large-sized pumpkin will be available for pick-up from the Douglas Hospital culinary dock beginning on Wednesday, October 15 until all pumpkins have been claimed. Any additional pumpkins must be personally provided. You must be registered as a pumpkin carving competitor to claim a free pumpkin. Please use the link in item 1 above to register.
3. Judging will be by popular vote. All co-workers attending the pumpkin carving competition may vote for one pumpkin creation. First and second place winners will be chosen based on number of votes.
4. You may purchase/use your own pumpkins in place of or in addition to pumpkins provided by UCI Health. You may add any additional materials to your pumpkin creations at your own expense. All pumpkin displays should be appropriate for our hospital environment and fun for everyone to enjoy. Leadership reserves the right to ask for displays to be modified or removed if needed to maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all.
5. Pumpkin creations for judging must be delivered to Healing Garden Lawn on Thursday, October 30 between 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. ONLY. Many tables will be available to house your creation, but table location and space will be first come, first served.
6. Voting will take place between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
7. You do not need to be present to win, but if you can be there at 12:50, that's great.
8. Winning first place individual or team by popular vote will receive a trophy (one trophy per team) and a $40 Disney gift card (if a team, one card for each team member, maximum of 5 team members). Second place individual or team by popular vote will receive a trophy (one trophy per team) and a $40 Disney gift card (if a team, one card for each team member, maximum of 5 team members).
9. One entry will be selected by UCI Health leadership as the Judges' Choice winner. The winning individual or team will receive a trophy (one trophy per team) and a $40 Disney gift card (if a team, one card for each team member, maximum of 5 team members).
10. You must remove your creation from the display and voting area by 1:30 p.m. on October 30th. Please dispose of your creation properly. Extra trash bins will be available.
